Pink just for you

Pink just for you

Real men can wear pink without feeling sissified.

Another case of me just playing around with my markers. I actually wanted it to look more flat, but his skin looked too flat against the white background, so I ended up adding shadows.

Why is he in pink? I have a thing for men who's masculinity isn't that easily challenged.
Besides, he's an Indian demon, and in India pink is not considered a feminine color, nor are flowers seen as girly. It is however seen as a symbol of being in love, so maybe he is dressing up for Nini?
Though in Japan pink is a feminine color, so Nini might stop up for a second to look confused at him. :XD:

Flowers for a kappa

Flowers for a kappa

Got myself some new markers (kinda like copic, but not the real deal)! I had absoloutly no idea what I was doing while making this, and some things turned out a bit odd, but overall I'm very happy with it for a first try.

I just knew I had to draw something with Nini because one of the markers is perfect for her skin, so here's Jacob making some flower petals for her. :D

Demon Children

Demon Children

People keep asking what Jacob and Nini looked like as children.

That is also Jacob's true form, though with more adult proportions now that he's older. He can only add to this form, but not take from it.
He puts on a more demonic look with horns and what not because the asuras that raised him taught him it's best to be feared and to intimidate other demons. He's still very very strong through, so people are right to fear him. The demonic look is really just to avoid being challenged constantly and because it fits his personality better. Call it a fashion choice if you like.

Modest Demons

Modest Demons

Drew this while waiting for the washing machine to finish. Jacob and Nini in traditional inspired clothes from their respective home countries. They're probably going to a demon fair or something. :XD:

A lot of people have asked what would be the best way to modestly cosplay Jacob and Nini, and I suppose this would be it. Jacob is wearing a shirt, but it's a traditional Indian see-through shirt for royals. If someone wants to be more modest they can of course make it of thicker cloth.

Sweet Nothings

Sweet Nothings

Oh Jacob, you romantic you. :aww:

This was made on suggestion by a friend who wanted Jacob and Nini to be all cute and cuddly. Friend was not satisfied with what she got. It is here in color to mock her. :XD:

Hello hot stuff

Hello hot stuff

We all know about the Chinese dragon, and how it symbolize power, strength, good luck, and the ability to control water.

But a less known fact about them is their love of old men. Most other mythical creatures in Asia prefer young women or boys, but the dragons differs from the rest by preferring elderly men.

This one is a real Casanova who knows where to find the hottest guys in town. :XD:

Demon Swim

Demon Swim

Yet another fake screenshot.

A fun cartoon for the whole family! Take your kids to this fun filled ride into the world of demons, and follow our two heroes as their one night stand blossom into so much more! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n8FM8nyy_Fk :D

Fun fact: The pink flowers are Jacob's doing. He can materialize them because he is actually a nature spirit from India that was raised by asuras, and they had such a bad influence on him that he is now classified as a demon. So while materializing flower petals seem very out of character for him, it's actually more true to his nature than anything else he does.

The Yokai Bar

The Yokai Bar

Goddammit Jacob! Would it kill you to find a woman your own size!?

Anyway, the big blue woman is an oni, and the friendly looking racoon dog at the end is a tanuki, a type of yōkai that is really fond of teabagging people, sometimes to death. Don't believe me? http://b-knox.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/kagee_tanuki_2.jpg http://www.pinktentacle.com/images/kuniyoshi_tanuki_141.jpg :XD:

Oh Japan. Your mythical creatures are weird as hell, but so much fun to draw. :XD:

She Loves Big Butts

She Loves Big Butts

Even Asian girls got to shout "Baby got back!"

Jacob with Nini the Cute Kappa again, and this time with more correct size proportion. I gave Nini some rocking hips to make it clear she's an adult despite her petite size next to Jacob. Damn him and his thing for demons way smaller than himself! :XD:

Nini the Cute Kappa

Nini the Cute Kappa

This is a very immature joke a friend and I came up with. To get it you'll have to know how the kappa gets hold of the soul (or shirikodama). If you don't know, look up the kappa folklore. ;)

Nini the Cute Kappa is a character I came up with not so long ago. If you type in "kappa" here on DA you'll see a ton of cute little thingies which is pretty funny when you think about what Kappas are like according to Japanese folklore. So Nini is a joke on that. She has the modern cute look, yet the not so cute...interests of her ancestors :XD:
